#1 Trade Credit - trade in your books for HALF of the cover price. This credit is kept on file and never expires. It can be used to pay for half the purchase price of the used books only. We do not promise to take ALL the books you bring in, we have to be selective due to space and other conditions.
#2 Book Searches - Book searches for out of print books. A small fee is requested.
#3 Special Orders - ordering of new books at cost plus shipping. Yes, if Barnes & Noble can get it, so can we!
#4 Online Catalog - Visit alibris.com and search for books. We can't select just my listings yet, but you can contact me for a search.
#5 New Books - we offer a variety of new books ranging from some of our favorite authors to other popular titles. Plus a large selection of metaphysical titles.

~ We have altered our store quite a bit in the past years and are now specializing not only in the best book deals around, but also gifts and books reflecting our personal interest in new age & metaphysical topics. We have a variety of items including jewelry, incense, essential oils, candles, clothing, cards, crystals and much more.
~ Cheerful (most of the time) Service - everyone at the store is a true book person and will do their best to see that your needs are met.
The store features over 20,000 books at the store. We carry quite a few paperbacks in mystery, western, science fiction, fantasy, novels and scary categories. There is also a fair amount of non-fiction books: gardening, home, auto repair, history, business, biography, cookbooks, science, health and sailing.We are now specializing in metaphysical books and carry an every-growing inventory of mostly new, and some used titles. This includes new age, occult, pagan, wicca, homepathy and more.
The store hours are as follows:
- Monday - 10am to 6pm
- Tuesday - 10am to 6pm
- Wednesday - 10am to 6pm
- Thursday -10am to 6pm
- Friday - 10am to 6pm
- Saturday - 10am to 6pm
- Sunday - Closed - We have to do the laundry sometime!
- We are usually closed on major holidays too - New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas and a few other odd days when we need a bit of a vacation.
- We are located in the unique town of Ferndale, just north of Bellingham and south of the Canadian border. Take I-5 either direction and get off on exit 262. Turn right and follow Main street into downtown to 3rd. Turn right again and then left onto Vista and you should see our little store. We have free parking on both sides of the store and in front. Always a good question to ask, I believe. Our purpose is to offer books for almost every reading taste, and offer them for a good price in a welcoming atmosphere while providing an arena to explore alternative thinking, discuss a variety of topics while enjoying a well made mocha or latte.
Who are the owners?
We are Cindy & Allan Milne, recently relocated from Birmingham England to the great city of Ferndale! But don't worry, we are actually Scottish, come in and listen to Allan's accent! You can't understand what he's saying because he talks fast, but its fun anyway. We are here all days together, so please come in and chat and we will provide a nice location to browse for books and enjoy a yummy mocha or latte.
